ABOUT ME

Many years ago, as a small boy, when every third word I read was blank, I came across Lewis Carroll's: the Jabbowocky and Spike Milligan's; The Ning Nang Nong, I discovered a new world of nonsense and silly verse.

It encouraged me to persevere, to overcome my difficulties with literacy. Years later, the circle was completed when an inspiring tutor introduced me to Stephen Fry's; The Ode Less Travelled and the astonishing range of techniques which make up what we call poetry or poesy. This led to the writing of adult poetry for pleasure and children's poetry for fun.

Mike Skyner has dyslexia amongst other things. He is a big kid in a bigger body. He got it from his father - he never grew up either. When not writing poetry or fantasy stories for children, he tries to help others overcome their problems with dyslexia.
